Kimber 8400 custom 404 Jeffery’s
This Kimber started as a 338 Win Mag. The action, bolt and magazine were modified to fit the 404 round, a new custom bolt k**b fitted, Swan Barrel and NECG sights fitted. A blind cap and muzzle brake is also fitted.
The stock is exhibition grade English walnut carved in house with an ebony fore end fitted. The checkering on the stock was completed by Ken Davis.

The r***e was finished in graphite black Cerakote to protection.

300 RUM built with a Defiance Deviant, Maddco 1/10 twist, JAE stock, Trigger Tech Diamond.
The cerakote with flutes highlights was used to compliment the polished receiver raceway.
The r***e included a custom brake and muzzle cap.

Christmas came early on Thursday with the first of the Big Horn Actions arriving from the US. These actions are outstanding quality and offer some unique features not found on other Rem 700 footprint actions. Floating/interchangeable bolthead allows for multiple calibre options, controlled round feed and mechanical ejector are just a few of the key features. Custom Lone Peak Titanium- Carbon fibre 300 Win Mag.
This r***e is built on a Lone Peak Fuzion Ti action with a melonite coated spiral fluted bolt with a Jewell HVR trigger. The action is fitted to a Hardy Engineering Carbon Wrap, Rem Varmint profile barrel and sits is a Kiwi Composite carbon fibre stock.
A Terminator T3 break was fitted to reduce felt recoil and an Accurate Mag CIP length DBM was inletted to enable the use of VLD projectiles in a detachable magazine. All metal work was finished in the new Cerakote Elite Midnight. This finish is fantastic, super smooth and harder wearing than any other cerakote.
A set of Warne Mountain tech rings were chosen to round out the lightweight build at 2.3kg. Fitting the Swarskoski Z6 scope raised the total r***e build weight to 3.4kg.

Custom 338 Norma Magnum
This build used a Weatherby Mark V action as a base. The boltface was opened out to fit the 338 Norma Mag case and was fitted to 26" Lilja No.4 profile fluted barrel. A TGPR custom break was used to tame the light r***e which reduced recoil to approximately that of a .243 Win.
A Bell and Carlson stock was modified and bedded to ensure a perfect stress free fit.
The complete r***e with scope weighed 3.8kg.
Proof testing the r***e showed consistent 3 round groups between 1/4 and 1/2 MOA.
