The Perth Downwind Camp is live. The first edition, 23 to 30 January 2027.
Perth has one of the most reliable sea breezes on earth. Every summer afternoon it turns our coast in to a downwind playground! The Drummers, The Northern Drummers, The Snapper Run, The Mandurah Cut and if you fancy, Ledge to Lano.
For one week, we host you properly. Accomodation at Sorrento a stone's throw from the water, skis and equipment supplied, shuttles to the best launch for each days wind, structured technique sessions in the morning, video analysis and delicious lunches with a couple of hosted dinners with the crew.
This one is for intermediate to advanced ocean paddlers who love downwind and want to get great at it. If you're not quite there, ask us about jumping in a double with a coach.
Capped at 12 paddlers to keep the experience great and the coaching intense.

What's your definition of happiness?
For us it's a clear horizon. Sitting on a ski with nothing out front but open water, a following swell lining up behind you and the crew spread out either side. No inbox, no traffic, no noise. Just the next run. 🌊
That feeling is the whole reason we run camps, and we take it to some pretty special corners of WA.
Rottnest, 14 to 18 November. Cross the Doctor by ski, base on the island for three nights, paddle the bays and reef breaks with a support boat shadowing every paddle so you choose your own distance. $2,400 all inclusive and only a few spots left.
Perth Downwind Camp, 24 to 29 January 2027. The Drummers run in the windiest month of the year on the Perth coast, based at Sorrento, walk to the water, small crew and real coaching.
Exmouth, July and August 2027. Whale season on the Ningaloo coast, warm water, humpbacks under the ski and reef runs you'll talk about for years. Dates and price drop soon.

Not every day on camp is about chasing wind. Some days look like this 🛶
Yardie Creek, the only permanent water gorge on the whole Ningaloo coast. We paddled in between red rock walls that have been standing for hundreds of millions of years, with rock wallabies on the ledges and black cockatoos overhead. Flat, calm, quiet, and one of those mornings the crew still hasn't stopped talking about.
That's the thing about these camps with . The downwind runs and the whales get the headlines, but the week is built from days like this too. Big ocean when it's on, hidden corners when it's not.
