For almost 50 years, we've been providing safe, supportive and accessible healthcare services to women and families in WA. Womens Health & Family Services is a Not For Profit organisation operated by a team of all female staff. We specialize in women's health and family issues and our services include medical, counselling, drug and alcohol support, domestic violence, mental health, nutrition and other health services for women, their children and their families. WHFS is open to all West Australian women including Aboriginal, migrant and refugee women, and their families. Creche facilities and interpreting services are available.

Our notebooks (and cups) are still incredibly full after The Future of Women’s Health, our event on Friday. 💥

This is what happens when you put a room full of brilliant women together and let them dream out loud about what's possible.

To the extraordinary humans who made it happen — thank you doesn't feel like enough, but here goes:

Dr Catherine Ball – you blew our minds. Thank you for showing us a future where technology finally works for women's bodies — and for making us laugh until we cried along the way. Dr Katrina Stratton MLC – thank you for validating our exhaustion, and for the fire you bring to getting women into the rooms where decisions get made. Tina Altieri – thank you for holding the whole morning with such warmth, insight and energy. You made it feel effortless. Dr Simone Altaf – thank you for giving women the right answers after years of being dismissed, and for the words we'll carry with us: don't give up. Dr Alyx Robinson – thank you for making sure women are truly heard in general practice, and for shaping a generation of care that listens. Robyn Collard – thank you for grounding us all in your beautiful welcome.

And none of it would have been possible without our gold sponsor, Women and Newborn Health Service at North Metropolitan Health Service , and our silver sponsors GenesisCare and Newtrend I.T Specialists — thank you for backing women's health.

To every single person who walked through the door: you are the change. We felt it. And we can't wait to do it all again.

Until next year. 💛

Women need 9 hours sleep.
Aura rings don’t know enough about women’s bodies.
If your partner snores, you’re more likely to have a heart attack.
Ovarian tracking technology is coming to Australia.
Smart beds will transform our sleep.
Female gynaecologists do exist!
Vaginal rings will transform future menopause care.
And we need to use women’s health data to ensure future medical research is actually designed for us.

Still buzzing! We can’t stop thinking about the energy in the room, and all we learnt at The Future of Women’s Health event today, to wrap up .

All credit to our incredible speakers: Catherine Ball, Dr. Katrina Stratton MLA, Tina Altieri, Dr Simone Altaf, & Dr Alyx Robinson — who challenged us, validated us and constantly blew our mind this morning.

To everyone who came along — thank you. Your energy, questions and refusal to settle for less is the whole point! It’s exactly where change starts; for you and every woman who comes after.

Photos to come — including some very important thank-yous. 🔥👏☀️
