Every time there's a new renovation, the principal and business manager ask the same question: Do we match what we already have, or do we start again?

For a principal, a consistent campus is part of the school’s identity. For a business manager, it’s about protecting an investment made with care. We understand that completely, and honestly, it’s one of the biggest barriers we face as a supplier.

Here’s how we approach it:
1. Our designers work alongside architects and schools to understand the existing spaces before recommending anything.
2. We offer bespoke and custom furniture, so new pieces can sit comfortably next to what’s already there.
3. For new schools, we try to recommend ranges built to grow with the school. The EN Series is a good example: the same design family includes classroom chairs, stools, swivel and drafting chairs. A library chosen in Stage 1 can carry through to the science labs in Stage 3.

Every student is different. The , usually, isn't.

That's where adjustable classroom furniture earns its place: height-adjustable desks and chairs help students sit properly and reduce discomfort during long school days, whatever their age, height or needs.

One set that adapts to a mixed-age group. That grows with a child as they move up the grades. That includes students using wheelchairs or those who focus better alternating between sitting and standing.

Comfort isn't a luxury. For a student, it's the difference between a day spent focused and a day spent fidgeting.

We've been talking a lot lately about how physical spaces shape the way people and learn. And after the recent ASBA Conference, where offices and admin areas were front of mind in so many of our conversations, the timing felt too good to pass up.

So, this feels like the right moment to showcase our own office!

Over eight weeks, we reworked our own workspace into something that does double duty. On one hand, a modern, hashtag environment for our team. On the other, a living showroom where clients can sit in the chairs, work at the desks, and experience our furniture the way it's meant to be used, in a real .

Many people think a desk is just a desk. As long as a student has somewhere to sit, the rest is detail. But is this true?

A study published in the International Journal of Human Factors and Ergonomics found a 58% prevalence of back pain among adolescents. And while it drew on a relatively small group of students, it revealed something telling: the greater the difference between desk height and the student’s elbow height, the higher the likelihood of that pain (Vieira et al., 2013).

The challenge for any classroom is that students in the same room can differ by 30 centimetres or more in height. One fixed desk height cannot fit all of them. So the tall student hunches down, the shorter one reaches up, and both end the day paying for it.

This is where height-adjustable desks change things. When the desk moves to match the student, elbow and desk height line up, the shoulders relax, and that gap the study warned about disappears. One desk quietly fits the ten-year-old and the teenager, this year and the next.
