PSA: Don’t bother

While I was overseas and impulsively purchased a small controller for travelling, I also purchased a new set of cans. I couldn’t find an AIAIAI distributor on Koh Samui, so I took a gamble on these Pioneer/Alphatheta headphones.

Pro’s: They do link wirelessly to controllers which have SonicLink built-in, such as the AZ or AN. And they are also Bluetooth and it does come with a wireless TX device for connecting to any non-SonicLink mixer or controller. And the latency is fine for mixing…

Con’s: The volume and bass reproduction are s**t. A $250 pair of TMA-2 eats the sound quality and volume of these.

End result, don’t waste your money. AIAIAI are far superior, for far less money.

Probably the most homebrew, MacGyver rig I’ve come up with for DJing 😂😂. But in a bind, it will do for a little livestream from the villa 🎶🎶
