Australia Post
Welcome to the official Australia Post page. Welcome to the Australia Post page. We pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we operate, live and gather as employees, and recognise their continuing connection to land, water and community. We have a few values we hold ourselves to and they’re the founding principles of some rules we ask you to keep in mind. These rules help protect the safety of our customers and staff while demonstrating our social purpose and commitment to the community: to create connections and opportunities that matter to every Australian. Our three simple rules are:
1. Respect everyone
Our online community is as diverse as Australia, so you’ll run into people that see the world differently from you. Our community is inclusive. We won’t always agree but we do insist on civil, respectful debate and discussion. We won’t accept cruelty, harassment or abuse, ever - whether that’s aimed at other people on the page or at our staff.
2. Interact safely
This page is a place where people should feel safe to be themselves and to do their jobs without fear of abuse or harassment. We encourage all members of the community to report posts which violate Facebook’s Terms of Service, or to contact us by Private Message if you believe that someone is disregarding the house rules. Safety also means taking ownership for what you post and your interactions with other people. Make sure you know what you’re responsible for legally and how to protect your privacy when you post on our page by reviewing the Australia Post Privacy Policy. Never reveal personal details on our page including your address, phone number, payment details or login credentials.
3. Help us improve
Your ideas and constructive criticism about Australia Post are welcome. We’ll talk to you about what we’re doing based on your feedback. The goal is to keep improving – together. We also have some specific rules about what is allowed on our page. Your comment or post may be taken down if it:
- Is defamatory, indecent, offensive, discriminatory, misleading, off-topic, unlawful, threatening or contains swearing
- Breaches the privacy of yourself, an Australia Post staff member or another person (including photos and videos)
-Is a promotional post, contains advertising or links to third party websites
- Includes personal attacks, name-calling or trolling
- Is part of a co-ordinated group attack on the Australia Post brand or one of our executives or staff members
We reserve the right to ban any Facebook users who fail to follow these House Rules and delete comments at our discretion. Due to the volume of requests received on our page, moderation decisions are final and questions about these decisions will not be responded to. Employees participating in discussions on our page are reminded of their obligations under Australia Post’s Employee Social Media Policy which can be found on the intranet. The bottom line
These guiding principles are intended to create the best possible social media experience for our followers, and for others who might visit the page. Finally, if you need help with Australia Post’s products and services, we invite you to first read our FAQs for self-service assistance or contact us via Private Message. "It was cool seeing Dad drive the truck, because nowadays I only ever see him at home on the computer." Eve laughs. "It was nice spending the weekend out there with Dad, doing our bit for the team.
Dad's spent 29 years at Australia Post, starting out as a night sorter, before becoming a postie, team leader, facility manager up until his current position... he's done just about every role up the chain. That photo is from around the time he was a Delivery Manager at Western DC. We used to visit him at work as kids, so I've always had a connection to this place.
I got my first job as a Christmas Casual, loved it, stayed on as a permanent casual in another facility, then eventually moved into Parcel Lockers and now work with our Out of Home assets. It's funny, every now and then someone will say, 'I met you when you were this big!' Even though [Dad and I] don't work directly together, it's nice knowing I've always got someone to bounce ideas off.
A highlight of working at Post with Dad was getting the opportunity to work together during Peak. I'd recently got my forklift licence and was stacking empty ULDs, while Dad was out on the truck distributing them to other facilities. It was great seeing us both play different roles in keeping the network moving during one of the busiest times of the year.
It was also really cool watching Dad in his element, doing something I don't know how to do. As his daughter, I felt proud to be on the forklift, stepping into a traditionally male-dominated role and doing my part alongside him.
From an early age, Dad instilled in me that if you want to do a good job, you've got to work hard. The job he's in today is a testament to how much work he puts in.
Anytime I need advice, or I'm struggling with something, there's someone I can turn to who's calm, fair and has probably encountered every outcome you can think of. They're all qualities I'd like to have if I ever become a team leader myself. He's a good role model."
Happy Father's Day to Michael, and to all the dads and father figures across Australia Post, and beyond. 💌

Meet Luke 👋 He's one of our Posties and as part of our Connection Campaign with Beyond Blue, he's helping us deliver something pretty special, 4 million free Connection Postcards to rural and regional homes across Australia 💙
This month marks an incredible milestone: 25 million postcards delivered since 2021. With loneliness affecting 1 in 3 Australians, a few handwritten words can mean the world to someone.
🗨️ “It’s a very special feeling to read something someone’s handwritten just for you. I hope it brings more people that joy.”

Postie Matthew was on his usual run when this big fella stopped by to say hello and made his day 🐴
No, he didn't order anything. Yes, he wanted to chat about our new eDVs.
For Matthew, like many posties, 📍2517 isn't a route, it's home. His mum grew up on these streets. He went to school here. He's delivered to his own grandparents' door.
In postcodes like this, everyone knows the postie. Even the local horse. And it makes all the difference 👏
we all have a Miranda 👠📦
