A few people have asked about the container build, so it’s not finished, as still waiting on the aircon ❄️ which will be happening in new year, but the S.B.S. team 🛠️ have worked their magic, and my part’s been done (for a while now!) and I’ve got to say, the end result is fab 🤩, and it looks way cooler now than when it first got craned in 🚢 (not that it was ever “uncool” 😎).

There was a BIG delay 🕒 waiting for the custom-made glass, but it was TOTALLY 💯 worth it, with its amazing mirrored tint in the glass.
Wait till you see stage two 🚀, which will be starting next year! If all goes to plan, I’ll post an update 📅, and it’s gonna be even BIGGER 💪!

So, we had a little side gig recently... Had to swap out two side fences for some swanky self-closing gates, that also comply with WA pool safety regulations. 😎
First things first, we planted the posts to scope out the measurements. Then came the fun part—crafting those gates! Let's just say, we nailed it. 🔨
But feel that need to give a little mention about that gate post, because its handy being able to weld along with doing everything else. Talk about a DIY masterpiece! 🎨 It took a bit of tinkering, welding here and there with six different bits of steel, but hey, who's counting? 😅

Last week, we encountered a door that looked like it had survived an encounter with Jack Nicholson himself! 🔨 It seemed like it had been part of a movie set in The Shining, enduring blows from an axe like a champ.

🚀 No laughing matter this one, but always try to take the positives out of a situation 💦

🤣 So, there was this pool water feature playing a risky game of Jenga at a client's place. It decided it was too cool for its foundation and started leaning like it wanted to take a dip. 🎸 The owner wasn't having any of that with no accidents on their watch!

😱 They came to us asking our advice and looking more serious than a lifeguard during a synchronized swimming competition. After some serious contemplation we collectively decided to bid farewell to the rebellious water feature that was living in its own world, untouched and unloved.

🏊‍♂️ We dropped it (but safely!) after first trimming back the small jungle and cutting back any unwanted roots in the wrong places, and then tidied up any missing wall cladding and threw in some new capping stones for good measure. Then, we sliced through the side wall and laid down a fresh concrete footing and rebuilt the whole shebang using the exiting and cleaned block to blend seamlessly with the surroundings.

📸 Check out the before and after shots – We can assure you that the side wall is level, but the front wall might look like it's had one too many pool parties, but we never built it 🤸‍♀️ The end result though? A pool that's safer than a floatie-wearing penguin learning to swim – just what the owner ordered!
