A huge THANK YOU to Mel from Christal Clear Training for coming along and putting some of our QRPS staff through their First Aid paces!

From bandages and CPR to learning what to do when things don’t quite go to plan, Mel kept everyone learning, laughing and engaged. We may not be ready to audition for Grey’s Anatomy just yet, but our staff are certainly feeling more confident and prepared to handle those unexpected moments! 😆

🐍 WARM WEATHER BRINGS SOME SLIPPERY VISITORS! 🦎

With the warmer weather upon us, we may start to see a few of our local wildlife friends popping up around the school including bobtails, lizards, snakes and other slippery creatures! 🌞

While it’s exciting to spot these creatures, it’s important that we give them plenty of space and stay safe.

If you see a snake or other wildlife:
👀 STOP and look from a safe distance.
🚶 MOVE AWAY calmly.
🙅 DO NOT touch, approach or try to move it.
👩‍🏫 TELL A TEACHER straight away.

Remember, these creatures are simply passing through and should be left undisturbed. Our staff will make sure the appropriate steps are taken to keep everyone safe.

Ms Russell’s Year 3 class have been making a splash in Art! After reading non-fiction texts about coral reefs, our students have been diving into the fascinating world beneath the waves, learning about different types of coral reefs and discovering some very cool facts along the way.

Did you know that whale sharks are the biggest fish on Earth? That’s one BIG fish! 😲

With plenty of curiosity, creativity and a little underwater magic, the students have been turning their learning into some fantastic artwork. Keep up the amazing work, everyone! 👏

Our Quinns Rocks Primary School basketball teams gave it their all at the Joondalup Slam Basketball Series at Arena Joondalup! Both teams battled their way into the grand finals, with our girls taking home the championship and our boys finishing as runners-up. 🎉

Congratulations to our champion girls on two consecutive years of Slam Series success! They now look forward to the Champions Cup later this year, where they’ll compete against the best winning teams from across WA.

A huge thank you to Mick Mason and Mac Cousins for coaching our boys and supporting our students throughout the day. Well done Mr R on coaching our champion girls. 👏💙🏀

We would like to wish our wonderful Pre-Primary Purple teacher, Mrs Rebecca Ariti, all the very best as she prepares to welcome her second little bundle of joy! 👶✨

While we will certainly miss her smiling face, enthusiasm and care in Pre-Primary Purple, we are so excited for her as she begins this special new chapter with her growing family.

Mrs Ariti will be taking 12 months of maternity leave to enjoy precious time with her new baby. We wish her and her family a safe and happy arrival, lots of cuddles, and many beautiful memories together. 💕🍼
