Brave Apache at Balaklava getting the job done 🤝
Brave Apache was brave today first up in SA for the stable, this horse is coming in leaps and bounds every prep, how far can he go? What a win from a handsome looking fella!
Massive thankyou for Harry Grace you’re a champ, riding him to perfection, we can’t Thankyou enough!
The second thankyou goes to all the people behind the scenes, family and friends the support network I have is second to none, we Thankyou all from the bottom of ur heart’s 💙🩵
Smooth Chino — our stable star. 💙
What an amazing day having family and friends by my side to support Chino and I. It means more than I can put into words having the people we love there to share these moments with us. ❤️
Now, into the nitty gritty…
We all know Chino is a 1200m specialist, but first-up I opted to go for the 1100m. Had it been 1200m, I truly believe he wins.
Unfortunately, he missed the kick after a barrier attendant was twisting his ear, despite being told to stop. From there, it was a muddled and messy race early, and he was forced to chase.
To add to it, Chino has had a very big abscess blow out of his back foot this afternoon and is quite sore on it now, which has also caused him to go down on his back bumpers.
And yet, carrying 62kg, with everything that went wrong, he still ran the fastest 600m of the entire day in 33.41 and the fastest 200m in 11.35.
When you look into the details, there are a mountain of excuses — but that’s exactly what makes his performance so impressive. It just proves how good this horse actually is. ⭐️
We cannot wait to see what’s next as we make our way to Flemington for his next runs. But for now, our priority is getting Chino over this run, comfortable, happy and feeling his best. We’ll do everything in our power to look after our special boy. 💙
What a horse. What a fighter. What a stable star. 🏇💙

Albany 2025/26 season we did it, we took out the leading trainer premiership 🤝
With Albany being my home town, taking out this premiership only 4 years into my training career is a huge honour.
Now my team and I embark on a new journey making the move over to SA to continue on our training journey into bigger things, but bigger things wouldn’t happen without the man behind the scenes that is my partner Josh.Holberton, we have purchased a beautiful training facility on the Gawler race course where we will build on what already has formed and see how far we can take our love for racing and our horses ❤️
There is so many people to thank along my journey and I’m sure to possibly miss some, but first of all, the jockeys that have ridden winners for us, my owners that are the biggest backbone to run an operation like this, without you all none of this could be possible, a special Thankyou ☺️
Amarlie Weinert is one of the main reason why all the horses are happy and winning, she is mine and the horses number one man we all fall to when in need, she picks up any little peace to make sure everyone is happy, hours and hours put in behind the scenes along with a lot of laughs and fun, I am looking forward to the years ahead with you and the team.
Let’s see how far we can go 💪🏻 🏇 🥇 Thankyou, Thankyou 🙏🏻
My family are the most important part of what I do, from nan, pop, aunty’s, uncles, cousins and most importantly my brother Corben, my sister Sheridan and even more importantly my mum and dad, you guys are my absolute number one’s without you all I would be lost. Thankyou 🫶🏻
Looking forward to where the future takes IWR, I like to pride myself on the moto…..you loose some you win more. Let’s go 💪🏻 🥇
