The Rye Fire Brigade

Sunday mornings our volunteers come down to the station to perform truck & equipment checks. We also use the opportunity to perform some skills maintenance training.

Our equipment and vehicles are very well maintained along with our skills. We are always ready to respond.

Thank you to Zoe McKenzie MP for coming to visit our volunteers, listen to our stories and deliver us a new Australian flag. It was an honour to have you at our station.

Last week our team of volunteers went down to the emergency management Victoria training centre at Carrum Downs and did some hot fire training which is a great chance to get some very valuable training.

Thank you goes to Rosebud Fire Brigade for organising and inviting us.

Congratulations to our fantastic new volunteer recruits on completing your general firefighter training today.

Thank you to everyone for your hard work getting through all the training.

Special thanks to our 1st lieutenant Lachlan Yanner for dedicating so much of your time getting them so well prepared for today.

Look forward to seeing you all on the fire ground.

Only working smoke alarms save lives, so take some time to check yours and protect you and your family today.

This Good Friday, we’ll be back out on the streets of Rye with Uncle Bob’s Club, proudly collecting for the Good Friday Appeal.

Keep an ear out for the trucks, come say hello to the crews, and if you can, have some cash or change ready to fill the tins.
It’s an incredible cause — let’s dig deep and support the kids!
