Mentone needed this 🍹
Applehead Deli has transformed the old Mentone Heritage Station into a vibrant new café and bar for locals to enjoy.
With outdoor seating, a relaxed atmosphere, great food and drinks, it’s a wonderful addition to our Bayside community and a spot I think will become very popular this summer.
Have you visited yet?
You’ve walked through every room in your home and come to the same conclusion…
Something needs to change before the property goes on the market.
But replacing everything feels unnecessary.
And in many cases, it is.
One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is that preparing a home for sale means replacing all of your furniture.
The reality is that many homes already have great foundations.
What they often need is an objective assessment of:
âś“ What stays
âś“ What goes
âś“ What needs enhancing
That’s where Partial Styling can make a significant difference.
By combining your existing furniture with carefully selected styling pieces, artwork and furnishings, we can improve flow, create better buyer appeal and help each room present at its full potential.
The homes featured here are great examples of how thoughtful changes can create a meaningful transformation without starting from scratch.
Thinking about selling and not sure whether your home needs Full Styling or Partial Styling?
DM PARTIAL and I’d be happy to point you in the right direction.
Father’s Day is a wonderful reminder that some of life’s best memories are made at home. 🤍
From backyard cricket and family barbecues to Sunday lunches around the dining table, our homes become the backdrop to so many special moments over the years.
One of the things I love most about what I do is helping families prepare the next chapter of a home’s story, while honouring everything that came before it.
Today, I’m celebrating the fathers, grandfathers and father figures who have built homes filled with love, laughter and lifelong memories.
Wishing you all a very Happy Father’s Day.

FRIDAY PROPERTY SPOTLIGHT | 5 ST AUBIN STREET, BEAUMARIS
One of the things I love most about Partial Styling is that it allows us to work with the story that already exists within a home.
This beautiful family home at 5 St Aubin Street, Beaumaris is a perfect example.
The owners are preparing for their next chapter and, rather than replacing everything, we carefully assessed what furniture and furnishings already worked within the space and where additional styling would elevate the overall presentation.
Partial Styling isn't about filling a home with new furniture.
It's about creating flow, balance and helping buyers understand how a home can be lived in and enjoyed.
For this property, we focused on enhancing key spaces, creating warmth throughout the home and ensuring each room felt purposeful and connected.
Many homeowners are surprised to learn that presenting a property well doesn't always require a renovation or a complete furniture replacement.
Sometimes thoughtful editing, strategic styling and an objective eye can make all the difference.
This stunning five-bedroom family home is now on the market with Wes Belt from Buxton Mentone and is ready for its next family to create their own memories here.
Thinking about selling but unsure whether your home needs Full Styling or Partial Styling?
Send me a DM with the word PARTIAL and I'll explain the difference and help you understand which option may be right for your home.

One of the most common questions I receive is:
“Where do we even begin when it’s time to prepare a parent’s home for sale?”
This beautiful Mid-Century Modern home in Beaumaris was designed by architect Ted Karasinski in 1966 and lovingly cared for by the same family for almost 60 years.
When I became involved, the adult children were preparing the property for sale on behalf of their late mother. Like many families in this situation, they were navigating not only the practical decisions, but also the memories attached to a much-loved family home.
One of the first things I explain is that preparing a home for sale doesn’t necessarily mean renovating everything or replacing everything.
It starts with understanding:
• What furniture still suits the home
• What can be removed to create more space
• How buyers will experience each room
• Where styling can complement the home’s existing character
• How to create warmth and flow throughout the property
For this home, we retained pieces that worked beautifully within the Mid-Century architecture and introduced a partial styling package to enhance key spaces and help buyers connect emotionally with the home.
Importantly, this property didn’t require a renovation.
It simply required thoughtful preparation, presentation and a clear strategy.
The result was strong buyer interest, a successful campaign and an excellent outcome for the family.
If you’re facing the responsibility of preparing a parent’s home for sale,
send me a DM with the word NEXT
and I’ll share the five areas I encourage families to focus on before going to market.
🌿 Spring has arrived in Bayside, and with it comes the start of one of the busiest periods in Melbourne real estate.
Over the years, I’ve noticed something interesting.
The homeowners who experience the smoothest sale campaigns aren’t necessarily the ones with the most beautiful homes.
They’re the ones who start preparing early.
The transformation featured here began exactly the same way many homes do.
Not with styling.
Not with furniture.
But with a conversation and a plan.
Whether you’re a family considering a move or a downsizer preparing for your next chapter, September is the perfect time to begin thinking about:
• What needs decluttering
• What can be refreshed
• What furniture still serves the home
• What support you may need along the way
Because preparing a home for sale isn’t something that happens the week before photography.
The best results come from having a clear plan and giving yourself time to make thoughtful decisions.
If selling has been sitting quietly on your “maybe one day” list, consider this your gentle Spring reminder.
Now is the time to start.
Thinking of selling this Spring?
Send me a DM with the word SPRING and I’ll share the first three things I would focus on in your home.

A little piece of my story...
When I moved from Rarotonga, Cook Islands, to Victoria in 1991, I never imagined how much Melbourne would come to feel like home.
Over the years I built a life here surrounded by family, friendships, community and traditions that have stayed with me through every season of life.
One of those traditions has been supporting
For our family, it's never really been about football. It's been about shared experiences, lifelong friendships, belonging, and creating memories together.
Last week after watching Carlton win with Neil, I found myself reflecting on just how many years we've spent cheering from the stands, celebrating the highs, enduring the lows and sharing these moments together.
Building Haus Style™ has been one of the great passions of this chapter of my life, but building a life in Melbourne, raising our boys and creating lasting connections has been the greatest gift of all.
Some passions become part of your story forever.

Hello! I'm Jeanine - Founder of Haus Style™
Some moments in my work feel almost symbolic - just like placing a single vase on a table and watching a room come alive.
Styling has always been more than furniture for me. It’s awareness, intuition, and the quiet confidence that comes from truly understanding space.
This dining area wasn’t large, but it didn’t need to be. With the right scale, the right shape, and the right intention, it became warm, functional, and inviting. A round table, a soft vignette, and a feeling of flow — matches the location and views across the Bay in Hampton, Bayside.
As Haus Style™ grows, so do I.
Every project teaches me something about how best to help my sellers transform their properties for sale. And every moment I get to style homes, it reminds me why I started: to create spaces that speak to people and attract the right buyers.
This is the part of the work I love most — the quiet, thoughtful moments that shape the bigger story.
