In the Broadfeather Design process, even the workhorse rooms of the house are personalised to your needs. Stacked or side by side? How many hampers? Do you soak? Where do you sort into loads? Where do you fold? How do you store clothes that need ironing?
These questions are just the tip of the design brief iceberg. Time spent developing and then resolving the design = many years of longevity once constructed.
Design isn't just about selecting finishes, it's about creating environments to rest, breathe and restore. In this case, a chair, a fire and a table to place your book while you refill your drink. This is what a winter book nook looks like. This is a snippet of what a well designed home looks like. Not just a house to fill with things, but a place to live life with intent.

The before and after shots of this compact ensuite are almost a reflection of the changes within Broadfeather Design in the last 12 months ...
After many years of status quo, I reassessed every square millimetre of this ensuite and every facet of the business. New life was breathed into both, moving things around, going back to core values and needs. Keeping only what suited the future. Calm, considered and personalised.
The result ... A perfect ensuite for the next generation of homeowners, and the right business model for this season of my life. Every project, every detail, every moment now handled personally by me, Joanne. This is the life I chose, to create spaces that reflect you and no one else.

The French wash on the walls and ceilings in this home theatre lends a lovely warmth to a room designed to get cosy in. This custom colour is the result of beautiful collaboration between the client, us and the skill of a person who turns walls and ceilings into artworks.

In a large open space, we love creating opportunities for conversation. Rather than just a sofa facing the TV, this space also provides plenty of space for chatting, reading, sipping or indeed napping.
