The Australian Production Design Guild was established in 2009 as a non-profit organisation that aims to:
- Represent designers and their associates in screen, live performance, events and digital production across Australia.
- Recognise and nurture excellence in design through awards, mentoring and accreditation.
- Raise the profile of stage and screen design and facilitate a vibrant design community. The APDG requests that all those that engage with the Australian Production Design Guild page abide by the following code of conduct:
1. Treat everyone with respect, fairness and courtesy and without harassment of any kind.
2. Support the aims and values of the APDG. The APDG will remove any posts or comments that do not align with the above. In addition to this: Information and images supplied to the APDG must be supplied with the copyright holder or holders’ permission granted for display on the APDG Facebook. The APDG will remove information and images from the APDG Facebook that has been uploaded who do not hold the relevant copyright holder or holders’ permission.

Emerging Screen and Live Performance designers are invited to apply!
Feedback over the years has highlighted that MentorAPDG can be an invaluable and surprising opportunity. Mentees gain perspectives on the inner-workings of the screen and/or live performance industries, with participants reporting that the program has a lasting affect on their careers and growth as designers:

Simply join the APDG (if you are not a member), read the info page on APDG website to check you are eligible, then fill in the entry form and pay the entry fee to be considered for this awesome opportunity!
The program is open for the following specialistations:
SCREEN: Production Design, Costume Design, Art Direction, Hair & Make-up Design, Set Decoration, Props Master, Costume Supervisor.
LIVE PERFORMANCE: Set Design, Costume Design, Lighting Design, Video Design, Event Design, Set & Costume Design.

In 9 years the guild has facilitated 59 pairings of up-and-coming talent with established APDG members in disciplines including: set, prop, costume, lighting, video, event, hair and make-up, production design, art direction, props mastery and costume supervision.
This program is a quiet achiever, where members across generations build rapport and connection, it is not a work placement but rather an opportunity to reflect on your professional experience to date and where you would like to go in your future.
Applications close this Sunday 20 Sept.
Application fee is $50 with no additional cost to applicants who are placed in the program.
