Wishing the Dawson Valley Drovers Rugby Club every success in their Grand Final campaign this weekend at Frenchville Sports Club. A cracking end to a stellar season, with Reserve Grade, Womens and A Grade teams all booking a spot in the big dance!

Dawson Valley Drovers are the lifeblood of Central Queensland Rugby Union, and an enduring reminder of the power of community and mateship that rugby is all about. Thanks to the efforts of the Dawson Valley Drovers Old Timers, and particularly Club President Aaron Longbottom and Joel Johnston, more than $60,000 has been raised for Hearts in Rugby Union in the past 2 years, ensuring critical supports can be delivered for permanently injured players. An embodiment of helping rugby help its own.

As for the choice of song? Well that's the club's cheeky anthem!

We got to farewell our friend Greg today. So lovely to hear all the stories of what a remarkable man he was, from his family and friends. There was laughter and tears as we remembered our mate. Rest in peace Greg on behalf of your Hearts rugby family.

Just another city to surf with The Armidale school

Our team is a man down today. We are so sad to share that Greg Killeen passed away yesterday after a brief illness. Greg was a regular at Hearts events and a passionate supporter of our work. Always there with a cheeky smile and a funny quip.

Greg sustained his injury in 1977 in New Zealand playing for his school on a school Rugby trip. Greg was also a 34 year employee of Spinal Cord Injuries Australia.
