💜🩺 MIGRANT WOMEN TO GET HEALTH SUPPORT IN PUNJABI, NEPALI & 27+ MORE LANGUAGES! 🇦🇺

Migrant and refugee women across Australia will have greater access to health information in languages they understand, with the Federal Government committing $10.8 million over two years to continue the Health in My Language program.

The program provides free, culturally safe health education through trained bilingual educators, helping women better understand healthcare services and topics including mental health, cancer screening, reproductive health, pregnancy and menopause.

Since 2022, more than 8,000 people across every state and territory have participated in sessions delivered in 30+ languages. The renewed funding will keep the program running until June 2028, with a continued focus on reaching communities facing language and healthcare access barriers. 🇦🇺❤️

Originally from Jalandhar, Sumitpal has been competing in natural bodybuilding since 2025 and is focused on drug-tested competition, fitness and promoting healthier lifestyles within the Australian Indian and Sikh community.

After his latest four-medal performance, Sumitpal is now preparing for the Natural Bodybuilding Australia Nationals in Melbourne in October, where he will compete against athletes from across Australia. 💪🔥

🏆🇮🇳🇦🇺 INDIAN-ORIGIN DR NEHA UMARETIYA WINS WA PREMIER’S SCIENCE AWARDS PEOPLE’S CHOICE! 🔬🌱

Dr Neha Umaretiya, an Indian-origin STEM educator from North Metropolitan TAFE, has been recognised with the 2026 People’s Choice Award at the WA Premier’s Science Awards after receiving 4,036 public votes.

Dr Umaretiya’s work combines horticulture, STEM education and emerging technology, including an automated hydroponic greenhouse using cloud-connected sensors and a digital twin to give students hands-on experience in precision agriculture. 🌱💻

Originally from Gujarat, India, she has a PhD in Horticulture and 15 years of experience, working to develop practical skills for the future of Western Australia’s horticulture industry. 🇮🇳✨
