There are two great ways to start your day, One is with a coffee, the other is with a Sunrise Kayak tour.
The Spring Sunrises are amazing at the moment, we start early so you can fit one in before work, and the rest of your day will be a blissful after your paddle.

PaddleNSW in partnership with Tango Charlie Lights and Cockatoo Kayak Tours.

Registration: All paddlers (including BOTH paddlers in a Double and ALL paddlers in multi-person craft) must register individually.

Logistics: Craft drop-off available at the venue, but off-site parking is required. Bring your own Race Number holder (available for purchase at registration). Please remove old series stickers before racing.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of taking a group of 26 Students and teachers from USA, with Atlas Workshops for a kayak tour of Sydney Harbour including a special visit to Sydney Institute of Marine Science.

Due to the numbers we called in the help of Out and About Adventures to complete the flotilla of green and yellow kayaks.

Sydney Harbour could not have put on better weather for the day out, the sun was out, water was calm, conditions were perfect.
I believe all kids and teachers had a great time and should have slept well last night, after paddling 8kms around the Harbour.

A huge thank you to Mike and Tammy for coming along to be extra guides to assist with safety and keeping all the Students together and heading in the right direction.

These people are only volunteers and turn up at every call for help, or simply give up their weekends when we need them to assist with events.
And everyday we head out on a tour with inexperienced paddlers, we do it with the safety and reassurance knowing these guys are only a radio message away.

We stand alongside our fellow volunteers at Marine Rescue Ballina with heavy hearts.

Our thoughts, deepest condolences and unwavering support are with the families, friends and all members of the unit following the tragic loss of two respected crew members.

In times like these, the entire Marine Rescue family feels the loss together. These volunteers dedicated themselves to protecting others on the water, serving their community with courage, commitment and selflessness. Their contribution and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
