Our Silk Point set is here !

The Silk Point brushes have arrived, and I honestly can’t tell you how happy I am to finally be holding the finished set.

These are synthetic Kolinsky watercolor brushes, made in Germany, with the point, water capacity and control I wanted from the very beginning.

It has been a much longer road than we expected. We went through samples, adjustments and a lot of quality checking because I really didn’t want to rush them just to get them out sooner.

So THANK YOU so much to everyone who pre-ordered and waited so patiently.

We’re starting to prepare the orders now, and they’ll begin shipping very soon.

The Crested Kingfisher has a very different character from the others. Its markings feel bold and graphic, almost like ink and water moving together. I wanted to capture that wild rhythm: the crest, the pattern, the sharp focus.

This work exists as one original painting and as three hand-signed print editions, and nothing beyond these numbers will ever be made.

This bird feels almost unreal to me - so small, but carrying such intense colour. I love the jewel-like blue against the warmth of the orange, and the way the whole bird seems to hold light.
