🐺 ACADEMY PLAYERS OF THE YEAR 🐺

At last week's Presentation Day, we introduced a brand-new award — and one that means a lot to us. For the first time, we recognised four Academy Players of the Year: Junior Boys, Junior Girls, Youth Boys and Youth Girls. 🖤

These awards weren't just about ability on the ball. They were about how each player represented our club values all season — their commitment, attitude, and the example they set for their teammates.

🐺 MEET THE TECHNICAL LEADS 🐺

Big season ahead, and it starts with the people behind the scenes. 👇

This year, Wynnum Wolves FC is moving to a Technical Lead model — a best-practice approach to coach education that means more mentorship, more development, and more contact time for our coaches. Why does that matter? Because better coaches make for better players. It all flows down. 🖤

Here’s how it works: our Technical Director trains and mentors each Technical Lead, who then passes that knowledge on through their coaching teams — building consistency and quality across every level of the club.

Last weekend we held our Presentation Days, celebrating every player at the club — from our littlest Wolf Cubs right through to our Youth teams. What an incredible turnout to recognise a huge season of effort and growth.

We were especially proud to award over 105 players with their 5-year service medals — a huge milestone and a true reflection of the loyalty and love for this club. 🖤

Two very special awards on the day:

🏅 Young Referee of the Year (Encouragement Award) — Archer Newton
Congratulations, Archer! Your commitment on the whistle hasn't gone unnoticed, and we're so proud to celebrate you.

🏆 Junior Team of the Season — U15 Div 2
Premiers this season, and to top it off, they won their semi-final on the very same day as Presentation Day, booking their spot in the grand final! Good luck out there, boys — we're all behind you. 🔥

🐺 COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT 🐺

We’re pleased to confirm our QPL3 Women’s coaching line-up for next season.

Jeremy Medina steps up as Head Coach of our QPL3 Women’s Senior Team. Jeremy already knows this squad well after guiding them as Assistant Coach this year, and we’re excited for what’s coming with him leading the team. 🖤

Petar Soldo takes on the role of Head Coach for our brand-new QPL3 Women’s U23s. This is a new team this season, and Petar will be building the foundations for our U23 girls from the ground up. After a strong season coaching in our academy program, we’re glad to have him leading this next chapter. 🖤

Welcome to the role, Jeremy and Petar. We’re looking forward to the season ahead.
