What a great few days at BeefEx 2026 last week!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by to see us — it was great to connect with new and familiar faces across the feedlot industry. We also enjoyed exhibiting alongside the BK Civil Group team.

A big thanks to ALFA BeefEx Conference for another fantastic event, with a strong line-up of speakers, industry discussions and social events throughout the three days.

Project Update | Waggaba Feedlot

With expansion works recently completed at Waggaba feedlot for Woods Livestock, we’re now back to install shade over the new feed pens.

Project Flashback | Blackall Saleyards

Back to 2017–18 & a major upgrade completed at Blackall Saleyards.

PFIS designed & delivered the upgrade, including demolition of the existing facilities, earthworks, plumbing & drainage, electrical works, more than 500m² of concreting, a new weighbridge & drafting system, overhead walkways, scale house and covered work areas.

The project presented plenty of challenges, with works completed over the Christmas shutdown & drainage requiring careful planning due to the extremely flat site.

This was also our first weighbridge installation & before we had our own fabrication facility, everything for the project was fabricated onsite.

A good project to look back on & one that reflects how our capabilities have continued to develop over the years.

We’re excited to be exhibiting at BeefEx 2026 on the Gold Coast later this month.

We were proud to support the JBS Combined Feedlot Community Campdraft held in Dalby over the weekend.
Well done to all of the competitors and to the JBS Northern Livestock team for putting on such a fantastic event!

Plumbing and concreting are usually the first works we undertake onsite for a feedlot project.

To kick off this current job, we’ve got plumbing going underground in the feed pens and trough pads being poured.
