The river beckons, and we must answer the call! 😆

Simon Built will be closed from 4pm this Thursday 1st Oct and reopen next Tuesday 6th Oct at 8am.

We’re taking a little time out to relax, recharge and come back refreshed, ready to knuckle down and get stuck into it again next week.
We hope everyone has a great long weekend!

Simon’s flat chat in the workshop, so Mini Boss and I are doing our part to help get the next item out the door. 🔧

Mini Boss is measuring and cutting wires ready for the kit, while I’m over here frankensteining a box together to safely package it up so it makes the journey to NSW in one piece. 📦😂

It might not be the biggest team, but we all pitch in where we can!

Forced to eat lunch inside despite the gorgeous spring weather outside 😭 The masked lap wings next door have hatched their chicks, and theres 2! You can just spy the cute little chicks next to each parent in the pic.
Anyway the air show they put on was too scary so inside we go! 😅 Least the company is good still 🥰

The bloke behind the name, the ideas, the problem-solving and the “surely there’s a better way to do this” thinking. 😂

His outside-the-box ideas, determination and willingness to have a crack at just about anything are a huge part of what makes Simon Built what it is.

Here’s to another year of big ideas, bigger projects and plenty of beers along the way. 🍻

The post we really didn’t want to make… 😂

We’ve been putting it off. We’ve been absorbing increases where we can. We’ve sharpened the pencil, squeezed the numbers and generally hoped everything would magically get cheaper again. 😂

Unfortunately… that plan hasn’t worked. 🤣

The cost of running a small business has continued to climb, and as much as we hate putting our prices up, we’ve reached the point where if we don’t, we’re basically working for the privilege of owning a workshop. 😂

So, reluctantly, our prices are getting a bit of a bump.

We’re still doing everything we can to keep things fair and competitive, because we genuinely value our customers and the support you give our little family business.

We just need to make sure Simon Built remains a viable business — otherwise Simon might have to get a real job, and frankly, nobody wants that. 🤣

Thanks to everyone who continues to support us, recommend us, send work our way and puts up with our questionable sense of humour.

We appreciate the absolute crap out of you. ❤️

We love planning for the future at Simon Built... but I'm not sure I was ready for this future! 🤣

Our mini boss has already overtaken Mum in height, and standing on this step is probably a pretty good preview of where he'll end up once he's fully grown.

I'm just hoping by then he's mastered two important life skills: welding... and wearing deodorant before casually resting his arm on Mum's head. 😬😂

Happy is the boss bitch who's finally finished all the EOFY paperwork and gets to escape back into the workshop. 😎
Sad is the boss man who was really enjoying the peace and quiet... 🤣🔨
