One of the harder conversations we have with founders is agreeing on what “done” means.
Done doesn’t mean “everything I imagined is built.” Not for V1.
Done means the core flow works, it’s tested, and real users can sign up and get to the main value. That’s it. No admin panel with 15 views. No automated email sequences. Those are V2 in a V1 costume.
Getting clear on the finish line is honestly half the work.
Can you finish this sentence: “V1 is done when a user can ___”?

Hiring developers is not the same as having a product team.
If you’ve been the founder who’s also the project manager, QA tester, and the person Googling tech stack decisions at 1am... you already know.
