The Fall 2026 BBA Induction Week, held from 22nd to 24th September 2026, marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our newest BBA students at the ULAB School of Business. The three-day program provided our freshers with an opportunity to get familiar with their new academic environment, meet their peers and faculty members, and become part of the ULAB School of Business community. We are delighted to welcome the Fall 2026 BBA cohort and look forward to seeing them learn, connect, grow, and achieve throughout their time at ULAB.

The ULAB BBA Program proudly congratulates Qazi Zawad for becoming the Champion of IPESphere Season 2 Business Case Competition, organized by IPESphere, as a member of Team Shorshe Ilish.

The competition featured multiple rounds, including report submission, presentation, and an on-spot case-solving challenge held at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST). Through each stage, the team demonstrated strong analytical ability, strategic thinking, and effective problem-solving skills.

Congratulations to Kazi Adnan on starting his new position as Nestern which is a flagship internship program of Nestlé. Kazi joined Nestlé as a marketing intern on September 15th.

The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) proudly participated in the Bangladesh Innovation Fair 2026, held from 12–14 September at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Novo Theatre, Dhaka, under the theme “Innovate to Market.” Organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of Bangladesh, the fair brought together innovators, entrepreneurs, researchers, students, universities, startups, and industry stakeholders from across the country.

Representing the ULAB School of Business (USB), two student teams showcased innovative, technology-driven business ideas alongside the ULAB Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) team. As the focal person for USB’s participation, Dr. Sabrina Luthfa selected three projects based on their integration of IT and digital technology, providing students with an opportunity to showcase their ideas and explore their potential for market application.

The projects presented by USB included ParkShare Bangladesh, an app-based urban parking marketplace; SmartLoop Bangladesh, an IoT-enabled solution addressing urban plastic waste; and AICH, a technology-enabled agricultural market-governance platform focused on sustainable and inclusive rural development.

A highlight of ULAB’s participation was the visit of ULAB Vice Chancellor Professor Shamsad Mortuza, who visited the ULAB exhibition space and engaged with the participating students and their innovative projects.

ULAB’s participation in the Bangladesh Innovation Fair reflects its continued commitment to innovation, entrepreneurship, interdisciplinary collaboration, and empowering students to transform ideas into impactful, market-oriented solutions.

The BBA Program Office bids a heartfelt farewell to faculty members Dr. Sadia Haque and Dr. Parvez Mahmud as they embark on new chapters in their professional journeys.

On 10 September 2026, the ULAB School of Business came together to express appreciation for their valuable contributions and dedicated service. As a token of gratitude, Prof. Sarwar Ahmed, Dean, ULAB School of Business, presented crests to both faculty members.

Your presence, contributions, and dedication will be deeply missed. We wish Dr. Sadia Haque and Dr. Parvez Mahmud continued success, happiness, and fulfillment in all their future endeavours.

We are proud to announce the successful conclusion of the Founding Members Session, marking the official launch of the ULAB Supply Chain Society, a new platform dedicated to the academic, professional, and career development of Supply Chain Management students at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh.

The session was hosted by Yeasir Iqbal, Lecturer, who opened the proceedings. Professor Sarwar Uddin Ahmed, PhD, Dean of the School of Business, addressed the students and highlighted the importance of active student engagement beyond the classroom. He encouraged the founding members to take initiative, participate in extracurricular activities, and work collectively to build a sustainable society that can achieve meaningful milestones and create lasting opportunities for its members.

Associate Professor & Director Wazir A. F. Ahmad, BBA Program, was present alongside Lecturer Rubab Salehin.

The session also featured a presentation by Md. Rafin Islam, a Supply Chain Management major and the student who initiated the Society. He presented the Society’s vision, planned activities, and upcoming opportunities, including industry workshops, case competitions, alumni mentorship, and leadership development.

As Supply Chain Management continues to grow as one of ULAB’s expanding disciplines, the Society aims to provide its students with a dedicated community to connect, learn, lead, and grow together.

The ULAB BBA Program successfully hosted an engaging session for Entrepreneurship Class – Section 1 on 18 August 2026, featuring Nazmus Sakib, Entrepreneur and CEO & Founder of Xvect.

The session offered students valuable insights into the realities of entrepreneurship, the importance of taking action, and how successful businesses are built through execution—not just planning.

The session was facilitated by Nazmun Nur Eva, Course Teacher, who guided the discussion and engagement throughout the event.

It was an inspiring and practical learning experience that encouraged students to turn their ideas into action, embrace challenges, and take the first step toward building something of their own.
