🏆🇧🇩 Yet Another National Milestone for IUBPC!

A huge round of applause and congratulations to our Director of Public Relations, Farhan Sadeque, for securing 4th place in the AI Category at the National Blockchain & AI Olympiad Bangladesh 2026! 🏆

As a member of Team Aezakmi, alongside teammates Mujtahidul Sami and Ahnaf Zakaria from BRAC University, Farhan marked a historic feat, no IUBian had ever ranked this high in a National Blockchain segment before, yet another notch on his belt as he continues to make IUB Programming Club proud! The team also earned an Honorable Mention for their project.

The competition ran from 3 August to the final adjudication on 6–9 September 2026, bringing together some of the country's sharpest minds in AI and blockchain. And the journey isn't over, as Team Aezakmi has now been selected to represent Bangladesh at the international round in Hong Kong!

We are incredibly proud to see Farhan continue to raise the bar and carry the IUB Programming Club name onto the global stage consistently. A massive win for Farhan and a proud moment for the entire IUBPC family!

🌌 𝗜𝗨𝗕𝗣𝗖 𝗮𝘁 𝗔𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘀: 𝗗𝗵𝗮𝗸𝗮 ✨

Our president, 𝗜𝗸𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗸𝗶𝗳, and developer, 𝗔𝗺𝗶𝗿𝘂𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗿, joined many student developers and young professionals for an OpenAI meetup about building with AI, Codex, and the launch of 𝗚𝗣𝗧-𝟲 𝗔𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮. The informal format of the event encouraged open conversation and collaboration.

The participants engaged in discussion about their experience using Astra, and built projects right on the spot. Ikram built a survey marketplace named “Surveyor+”, connecting surveyors with respondents through micro-financial incentives. The project is currently in active development.

Nahar, on the other hand, built a zero-backend web application designed to turn vague problem statements into structured, hackathon-ready project blueprints in seconds. It provides an ultra-fast client-side generation engine, realistic categorized hackathon blueprints, tech stack recommendations, a 40-minute MVP ex*****on timeline, interactive feature checklists, and Devpost-ready Markdown export.

A special thanks to 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 and 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘆𝗮𝗿 𝗔𝗹 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗺 𝗠𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗹 for hosting the event, and to everyone who contributed to the conversation. IUB Programming Club and its members look forward to connecting with developers and builders, in Dhaka and beyond!

𝗠𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗭𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗜𝗾𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗱 and 𝗠𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗷 𝗔𝗸𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 Happy from Team 𝗜𝗨𝗕𝗣𝗖 𝘅 𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗧 proudly present 𝗕𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗢𝗦. This hackathon challenged us to build AI agents for the spaces where real work happens, and we decided to put our agent right at the restaurant checkout counter.
𝗕𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗢𝗦 brings every food delivery service, point of sale system, and QR payment together into one single smart device. It does much more than just take orders. Our AI actively predicts demand surges, manages the delivery queue, and helps owners cut down on food waste. We are giving local food businesses the smart technology they actually need.

A huge thank you to the amazing event partners for supporting this vision: , , , , , , .dev , Mozilla , and Google Cloud.

We congratulate Zaid Fahad, Sub-Executive of Senior Dev, on his landmark achievement, filling us with immense pride!
