Every two years, we bring this network together for our 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴. Not just to connect, but to learn from each other, challenge ideas, and sharpen the way we create impact on the production floor; driving higher yield, reducing waste, and ensuring consistent quality across the globe.

📍The event kicked off with a warm welcome at our demo center and headquarters in Belgium, followed by a visit to our new facility in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.

🎉 𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘢 𝘸𝘳𝘢𝘱! We blikken met plezier terug op een geslaagde openingsdag van onze nieuwe locatie nabij Eindhoven.

De voorganger van Optimum Sorting, het Nederlandse Concept Engineers, is al decennialang een vaste waarde in Eindhoven. Maar de groei van de afgelopen jaren bracht nieuwe uitdagingen met zich mee... Het vorige pand van Optimum Sorting Nederland bood simpelweg niet langer de ruimte die nodig was voor onze ambities.

Sinds 1 juli werken en produceren we daarom vanuit een nieuwe locatie, slechts enkele kilometers verderop. Een moderne omgeving vlak bij Eindhoven Airport die perfect aansluit bij onze verdere groei en toekomstplannen.

Een grote dankjewel aan alle collega’s, hun families en andere gasten die samen met ons hebben geproost op dit bijzondere moment. Op naar een nieuw hoofdstuk! 🥂

🎉 It’s a wrap! We’re looking back on a successful opening day at our new location in Eindhoven.

The predecessor of Optimum Sorting, Dutch-based Concept Engineers, has been a trusted name in Eindhoven for decades. However, the strong growth of recent years brought new challenges... It became clear that the previous facility of Optimum Sorting Netherlands could no longer support our ambitions.

Since 1 July, both our offices and production site have been operating from a new facility just a few kilometres away. Located close to Eindhoven Airport, this modern site provides the space and environment we need to support our continued growth and future plans.

A big thank you to all colleagues, their families, and other guests who joined us in celebrating this special milestone. Here's to an exciting new chapter ahead! 🥂

Growth creates opportunities, and sometimes it also calls for a little more space. That's why, just before summer, 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗗𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 near Eindhoven.

Onze Nederlandse vestiging blijft groeien, en daar hoort extra ruimte bij. Daarom verhuisde ons team vlak voor de zomer naar een 𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘂𝘄𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗺𝗴𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗵𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗻, op enkele kilometers van ons vorige kantoor en productiehal.

A potato can look perfectly fine... and still be a problem. 🥔

In potato processing, two of the most critical issues are often invisible: 𝘀𝗼𝗳𝘁 𝗿𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗲.
• Soft rot develops internally and turns the flesh moist and unstable
• Solanine forms without visible damage, but impacts food safety

After washing, both can pass as healthy product. And that’s exactly where things go wrong.

Most systems inspect what they can see. But quality issues don’t always start at the surface.

With laser sorting, the focus shifts inside the product. By analysing density, structure and light response, it detects:
✅ internal decay before it spreads through your process
✅ solanine based on its unique behaviour under laser light

The result is simple: fewer issues later in the line, where costs increase.

Not every defect in chips is visible to the eye. 𝗪𝗲𝘁 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗶𝗹 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘁𝘀 are among the hardest to detect. They result from incomplete frying and directly impact texture, shelf life and overall product consistency.

Traditional inspection systems often miss these defects. At Optimum Sorting, we take a different approach. 𝗨𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆, we analyse density and moisture to detect what remains invisible.
