Charmaine ‘s DJ sets reflect her endless musical curiosity. The Rotterdam-based DJ drifts freely through decades and styles. From deep 70s jazz-funk cuts to dubbed-out house and beyond, her selections are guided by instinct rather than genre.

You can find her in all kinds of venues and settings, from underground clubs like De School and Doka to festivals around the world, including North Sea Jazz Festival, Dekmantel Selectors and Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide. Her sets are a conversation between her, the space and the crowd.

To give you a little taste of her musical route, Charmaine picked five records that might just get you in the mood for her set.

Eclair Fifi , aka Clair Stirling, perfectly embodies the spirit of a party starter!

The Scottish DJ, producer and visual artist has built a broad and versatile repertoire across dance and club music.

Italo, Latin freestyle, electro, hip hop, house and plenty more all find their way into her sets. This wide-ranging approach shines through in her NTS Radio residency and regular “Breakfast Show” specials.

She will take you to higher places at peak time this Saturday!
