Een mooie afsluiter van een bijzonder weekend.

Fijn om te zien dat één van mijn foto’s werd gekozen als afsluitend beeld van de Antilliaanse Feesten, om iedereen te bedanken die deze editie mee mogelijk heeft gemaakt.

Trots dat ik daar op mijn manier een klein stukje aan heb mogen bijdragen.

Dank aan de organisatie voor het vertrouwen, en vooral aan iedereen die voor en achter de schermen van deze editie iets bijzonders heeft gemaakt.

It’s been a year full of noise.
A world that shouts louder than it listens.
Where power, ego, and volume often win over nuance.

So I chose silence more often.
Abandoned places.
Journeys where humans feel small and the landscape feels vast.

This photo was taken in a deserted church tower,
high above Fantova, deep in the Pyrenees.
No sermon. No flag. Just light.
Maybe that’s enough.
Not to fix everything.

But to offer a moment of breathing space.
✨ Light for Christmas. Hope for the New Year.
For everyone who just wants to live.

THIS is why I drive 60% OFF-ROAD through the Pyrenees!

​Day 1 of the big journey. 🏔️ Six days, 60% unpaved roads. I knew it was going to be tough, but this? This was the reward.
​After a day full of unexpected challenges (which would later look like 'a piece of cake' 😅), we were treated to this on the last stretch: a magical sunset at the Església de Sant Andreu de Gittareu, with those endless mountains in the background.
​At that moment, I thought: "If this is Day 1, how epic is the rest going to be?!" (Spoiler: we'd quickly have both wheels stuck in the mud. 😉)
​This feeling of freedom and reward is what makes an 'off-road' adventure worthwhile. Stay tuned for the crazy trials that are yet to come!
