Thousands of devotees have gathered in Samtse to attend the Peling Choekhor transmission and empowerment that started on Thursday. Namkhai Nyingpo Rinpoche is presiding over the 45-day spiritual ceremony.

Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay met the President Donald J. Trump and the US Ambassador to India, Sergio Gor, in Florida, USA.
The Prime Minister left for the US on 18th December 2025.
This is the second meet between the two leaders as the Bhutanese Prime Minister met the US President back in September 2017 at a diplomatic reception hosted by the President.
