The PlayStation State of Play event [03 Jun 26] revealed a look into the upcoming God of War: Laufey which places Kratos's wife, Laufey, in the role of the main character. This is different from all previous games which saw Kratos as the main playable character.

Furthermore, this also marks the first time a Buddhist deity - Begtse - will be featured in a mainline God of War video game. Previously, the series focused mainly on Greek gods and deities, with Norse gods being more recent additions.

God of War: Laufey is expected to release in 2027.

Reviews are meant to help people rate their experiences—movies, games, food, what is underrated, what is exceptional. But the act of reviewing itself feels a bit overrated lately.

With the internet and social media, everything is accessible now—maybe too accessible. It’s so diluted that you could probably find out how many stars random man #3216 from Fiji gave Стенька-Разин (1908) right now. That kind of proves the point.

Some of bottom 7 “worst” games of 2026—will end up as some kid's childhood memories. I’d rather spend 80 hours on a 3‑star game I enjoy than force myself through a 4.8‑star title for three hours just because it’s “highly rated.”

Go experience things for yourself. Don’t let reviews decide how much fun you’re going to have. It’s your experience.

Graduation Day, 2026

Two years of hard work finally paid off. However, it was not my effort alone. I could not have done this without the continuous support from my family - Deepak Rai, Usha Rai and Karma Sangay Lhamo.

I am ever grateful to my Supervisor and Mentor, Dr. Jordi Muria-Gonzalez who was the architect of the group's successes, and guide when we thought we were lost (which was MANY, MANY times).

I think it was a great and adventurous journey.
