BUIST Rugby Players Complete World Rugby Coaching Level 1 (15s) Course

On Saturday, 13 June 2026, the Botswana Rugby Union (BRU) successfully conducted a World Rugby Coaching Level 1 (15s) course for BUIST Rugby players. The course forms part of BRU's ongoing commitment to player empowerment and the development of a deeper understanding of the game.

The training focused on the fundamental principles of rugby coaching, game awareness, and decision-making. Participants demonstrated a good level of rugby knowledge and actively engaged throughout the course, contributing to productive discussions and practical learning activities.

The knowledge gained from the course will help players better understand the game, improve their decision-making on the field, and enhance their overall performance. By equipping players with coaching principles and a broader perspective of rugby, BRU continues to support the growth and development of rugby both on and off the field.
