The Isago Multi-Fund Discretionary Savings Plan is a flexible investment and savings policy offered by Botswana Life. ​1. Key Features
​Minimum Premium: P500.00per month.
​Policy Term: A minimum period of 10 years.
​Premium Flexibility: You can choose level premiums or have them increase by 5% or 10% annually to keep up with inflation.
​Investment Choice: You can allocate your premiums across various local and offshore funds (managed by BIFM) based on your risk appetite (Conservative, Moderate, or Aggressive).
​2. Core Benefits
​Partial Withdrawals: Unlike many traditional life policies, Isago allows you to make partial withdrawals before the maturity date if you need cash for an emergency.
​No Initial Fees: 100% of your premium is invested from day one, with no initial investment fee.
​Free Fund Switching: You can switch your investment allocation between different funds up to 3 times a year for free.
​Waiver of Premium: If the policyholder becomes disabled before age 70 (or the end of the term), Botswana Life will take over the premium payments to ensure the goal is still met.
​3. Payout Conditions
​On Maturity: You receive the full investment value, which you can take as a lump sum or reinvest.
​On Death: If the policyholder passes away before maturity, the company pays the greater of the total investments made (minus withdrawals) or the current market value, plus any optional funeral benefits.
​4. Optional Add-ons
​Funeral Benefit: You can add a funeral cover ranging from P15,000 to P25,000 for the policyholder.
​Comparison: Isago vs. Isago Educator
​While both are similar, the Isago Educator is specifically branded for school fees. It invests primarily in the Educator Fund and focuses on allowing withdrawals specifically aligned with school terms.
