Collins Camp & Outfitting Inc is no longer in operation of the camp on Besnard Lake. You can still reach them at 1-306-425-5443.
It is now called Besnard Lake Camp and is owned and operated by Kelly and Sara Gullacher, who also own and operate Besnard Lake Lodge. The Gullacher’s and staff have done a fantastic job at taking over and we highly recommend all to partake in their hospitality! And a huge thanks to all who have supported us over the 23 years that we were there!

Pouring in the south….fires increasing in the north. Circled us in black. We are fine but this is another reminder to be darn careful folks! Getting smoke a bit with wind directions not being in our favour at the moment. Not much rain in the forecast for a while either. All my southern people…go outside in your rain and blow it north will ya!🤪🙏❤️

Just a reminder for folks to be cautious up here…the south is getting lots of rain. We have not recently but the forecast shows it coming this week. Not sure why there are no fire bans with all these fires increasing. We are absolutely fine here and the air has been clear. This is just a gentle reminder to still use caution with all things fire and spark related 👍 Thanks everyone ☺️

A big “blanket” fire ban is on now for a big chunk of the province. We are JUST above the line so we are going to reinforce the idea of extreme caution…and maybe just don’t risk any open fires…or fireworks…it’s getting too risky.

Fire bans increasing across the province…and just learned there are bans now in the La Ronge area. Which obviously means we MAY not be far behind as we are basically in the same zone. It is so hot and still today. Please be so careful folks!

So you have to know I’m not excited about these kinds of posts 😒 but it seems to just be our reality. There have been more and more fire bans popping up and there are some active fires in the province. We have had such lovely moisture which has brought the lake level up so much….but with sun and heat, the ground surface gets dry and crunchy fast. Just don’t want folks to get too lazy with fire safety! So please still be so cautious. Looks like rain is in the near forecast…hopefully it comes to fruition 🙏
Well folks….standing on my deck and can no longer see any ice! That happened fast….looks like it’s clear! Time to get summerin’ ☺️🎣
