Inner Light

THINGS I HAD TO UNLEARN TO HEAL

That staying busy is proof of worthiness

That being needed is the same as being valued

That setting boundaries
makes me selfish or cold

That silence keeps me safe, when it really kept me stuck

That I had to earn rest or joy

That my emotions were "too much"

That forgiveness means allowing continued access

❤️❤️❤️

Very wise words ❤️❤️❤️

A wise monk once told me:

'Stop assuming that people are mad at you.
Stop attempting to read people's minds. Stop trying to manage the thoughts and emotions of others.

Let people be in charge of
themselves. If they have something to say to you, they will. And if they don't, it's their responsibility, not yours.'

Box breathing

Wonderful technique to bring you back to the now ❤️❤️❤️

THE MOST IMPORTANT, SPIRITUAL GROWTH DOESN'T HAPPEN WHEN YOU'RE SITTING IN SILENCE OR ON A YOGA MAT.

It happens in the midst of conflict when you're frustrated, angry, or scared, and you're doing the same old thing, and then you suddenly realize that you have a choice to do it differently... ❤️❤️❤️
