We went to WallyAnna Farm to wish Dad a happy, happy, happiest 93rd birthday… lookit the neat gift WE got! An egg scale!

Spring was hard on us and on some of those we know and love.

Summer has been soooo much better; the promise of hope and anticipation in the gardens at Cleveland Place has brought joy and bounty in the simplest ways nearly every day.

We look forward to the weekends when the shops are open to share those anecdotes and achievements— some might call it bragging, because that’s what it is, but we have so much to brag about, especially in Alma☺️

Autumn’s coming…

The gardens are producing joyfully and abundantly— we’ll share😉

As we spend more and more time in the Gardens at Cleveland Place, our non – explosive - diarrhoea lettuce is growing fabulously lush, we’re amazed at novice successes and the many learning lessons!

Though everything growing is in raised beds, the chickens follow us around and uncover the most interesting finds.

We have to assume that this melted blob of a glass jar that they scratched to the surface near the foundation is a long lost remnant of the Alma fire that consumed the original Cleveland Place, barn, and former church next-door.
