“The Altona/Rhineland region is an excellent place to do business with a vibrant agricultural and manufacturing base. The cost of operating and living in the area contributes to profits and employee retention. There is a stable and loyal labour pool with strong work ethic. We have operated in the region since 1907 and continue to believe this is the best place to grow our business” – Chad Friesen, CEO of Friesens Corporation

"At West Park Chevrolet Buick GMC, we are proud to do business in Southern Manitoba.  Our community is incredibly supportive, and we’ve been fortunate to build a strong team of dedicated employees who live locally and who truly care about our customers.  The combination of a hardworking workforce, strong local relationships, and the quality of life our region offers makes it an exceptional place to grow a business and build lasting relationships." - Michelle Wiebe, General Manager

"Running Digital Wishes Productions (DW Productions) in Altona has been a great experience. The community is very supportive, and I enjoy working with local families, sports teams and businesses.

Most of my work is local, within a 5km radius. Altona is a great place to live, raise a family, and grow a small business." - Wicus Conradie, Owner

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to participate in Advocacy Day at the Manitoba Legislative Building, meeting with several provincial ministers and representatives to discuss priorities for the Altona/Rhineland region.

Conversations focused on economic development, immigration, healthcare, community safety, and opportunities to support continued growth in rural Manitoba.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to meet with us and hear the priorities of our region.
