Headwaters Angling

Had an amazing time competing in the Miramichi Striper cup last weekend with team Bass Pro Shops. They put on an amazing event! Highly recommend.

After years of guiding, teaching, and spending time observing rivers, I kept noticing the same thing:

Most people don’t struggle with casting. They struggle with understanding.

They’re shown where to stand and what fly to tie on — but not why fish are there in the first place.

So this page is becoming Headwaters Angling.

A place focused on helping anglers learn how rivers work, how fish behave, and how to approach any water with confidence.

To start, I’m opening a small-group beginner course this spring built around progression — not just a day on the water, but learning that actually stays with you.

If you’ve ever wanted fly fishing to finally click, you’re in the right place.

Course details coming soon .Send a message to learn more.
