Forty years ago, Redeemer celebrated its very first graduating class. Members of the Class of ’86 and those connected to this pioneering group gathered for a special 40-year reunion lunch hosted by classmate Mark Van Helden, sharing memories, reconnecting and celebrating the community that has carried on through the years.

It was a great turnout last Friday for Redeemer’s mini conference celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Printing of William Tyndale’s English New Testament in 1526. Co-hosted by the Andrew Fuller Center for Baptist Studies and the Albert M. Wolters Centre for Christian Scholarship, the morning featured insightful lectures on Tyndale’s life, theology, and spiritual legacy from Dr. Michael Haykin, Dr. Bill DeJong, and Dr. Jonathan N. Cleland.

Yesterday marked the grand opening of Redeemer's new Learning Services space. To accommodate an increasing demand for student support, the expanded facility features improved physical accessibility, better overall flow, enhanced tech capabilities, and dedicated testing spaces for assistive technology. This upgrade strengthens the university’s commitment to providing accessible academic accommodations and learning support for all Redeemer students.

Alumni were back in action at Redeemer last week for the Homecoming Games! 🏆

From the court to the field and rink, alumni faced off against the Royals teams in hockey, basketball, volleyball and soccer for some friendly competition.

The Art Unveiled Community Showcase brought together the creative work and stories of Red alumni, students, staff and faculty as part of Alumni & Family Week. Each participant had just three minutes to share the inspiration, meaning and creative process behind their artwork, offering a glimpse into the stories behind each piece.

Redeemer University's Board of Governors has formally approved the reappointment of Dr. David Zietsma as president for a second term. The decision follows a comprehensive board review process carried out over the past year, affirming Zietsma’s visionary leadership and steadfast commitment to Redeemer’s mission.

This week’s chapel welcomed back former Redeemer students for Alumni & Family Week.

The auditorium was filled with classic worship songs, followed by a testimony from alumnus Rev. Kevin de Jonge and an encouraging message from Dr. Daniel Gilman on what it means to be crucified with Christ.

After chapel, alumni reconnected over coffee at a special reception.
