PART 3: Saying hello to her new friends at the Star 6 Ranch.

There was a special greeting between Tiggy and Echo who knew each other when they were just fillies at Echo Glenn Ranch years ago 🤎

PART 2: Meeting “Iggy” at Echo Glenn Ranch and her Goodbye send off from her beloved friends!

As teams vie for the chance to win the Stanley Cup, it feels like the right time to announce the arrival of Tiggy to the Star 6 Ranch, and to tell a little bit about her.

Tiggy used to be Iggy, named for Jarome Iginla a great Captain of the Calgary Flames. Her home used to be Echo Glenn Ranch one of the most beautiful ranches in Southern Alberta, and equally as beautiful was Iggy’s original owner Theresa.

Theresa lost her fight with cancer, Echo Glenn Ranch sold and at 22 years of age Iggy was suddenly without a home.

On April 4th Iggy arrived at the Star 6 Ranch which will be her home as long as she’s with us.

As we drove beneath the overhead gate and all the horses came to welcome her, Iggy became Tiggy…the ‘T’ a salute to Theresa who is surely smiling upon her old friend’s new arrangement.

Theresa lost her fight with cancer, Tiggy was given a new home, and the Habs, the last Canadian Team fighting for the Stanley Cup haven’t lost yet!

Never give up.

It’s a combination of Try, Luck and, in Tiggy’s case, Love.

Go Habs! Go Tiggy!

You’re now part the Star 6 Ranch team.

You’re a Win for us and we’re a Win for you.

May the best Team win.

Today, we are holding close the memory of a treasured friend of the Star 6 Ranch, Margaret Rider of MnĂŽ ThnĂŽ.

Margaret loved this land, these animals, and the spirit of connection that lives here. More than a supporter, she was someone whose presence, kindness, and care left a lasting imprint on the hearts of those around her.

Margaret was part of the fabric of this place. She believed in what the Star 6 Ranch could offer and she was always here whenever we needed her. Her support, friendship and love will not be forgotten. We will miss her forever.

Our hearts are with all who knew and loved her, especially her family, friends, and community.

This weekend, we honour Margaret with gratitude, remembrance, and love. ❤️
