Barrhead Communities In Bloom

Fall has started to cover town with a beautiful blanket of color 🥰🥰
Please share your fall pictures with us on messenger and we’ll post them on our page.

WOOHOO!!
Way to go Barthead🥰🥰
Whether you helped at an event, pulled weeds in the back alleys, picked up litter, planted beautiful plants to beautify your yards and gardens you all helped Barrhead to achieve this outstanding honour of 4 out of 5 blooms for our community.
So proud of our small town 🥰🥰

Did you know plastic bags can take up to 1000 years to decompose!!😳😱
Just a heads up to all pet owners to check out these new compostable “Poo Bags” by a Canadian company 👍

Had to stop and visit Barraconda today
If you’re in the area of the pool stop and check out all the awesome art work by artists young and old
All artists of all ages are welcome to add their artwork to the Barrhead Rock Snake. 🐍
*** Please make sure to seal your project for the outdoor weather.
Krylon UV resistant clear coating works great as well as the Rustoleum 2x clear coat.

So if you’re by the ATB check out the petunias
There will be lots of seeds if you’re interested
Please treat the plants gently when you’re harvesting the seed pods
Seed pods that are brown like in the second picture are ripe, and the seeds are ready to be harvested
You might even find a strawberry or 2 to nibble on.
Please help yourself to some bunny tail grass as well
They’re so soft. 🥰
Enjoy

The planters at ATB are still doing well
A little girl told me the strawberries are soooo good. Lol
And they are. 🍓
The lavender smells amazing.
The bunny tail grass is so soft and it’s hard to resist touching them. 😊

What a great day it was!!
3 of our volunteers spent the day in Calmar Ab today touring the town, taking in all the amazing information and networking with volunteers from other communities all across Alberta.
The antique stores and the bakery were favourite stops

2 of our amazing volunteers trying to hide from the camera!!😂
Make the connection was a great event for all Barrhead and area residents to check out all the awesome things to do in town.
Thank you to everyone that helped to put on this great event
