Street Cats Rescue

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT
Tonight our spotlight is shining brightly on the dynamic duo of volunteers Pat & Eric. These two have been working with Street Cats for about 12 years. During that time they have been pretty much permanent fixtures at our shelter doing shifts each week. And they are often "runners" for the rescue too, transporting cats in need. They also have fostered their fair share of kitties.....CHALKY pictured here was a foster fail several years ago.
They tell us one of their biggest joys is being able to play a role in the transformation of shy, scared kittys who, over time can blossom into friendly, sweet cats.
Please join us in celebrating Pat & Eric ! We are so very lucky to have these two beautiful souls on our team.

STUART says Thank You !!!
Our recent online auction was to raise money to get our shelter resident STUART, the dentistry he so badly needed. We have had many big surgeries this past year & have struggled to keep up with the bills. But the great news is that the auction raised just over $3100 & Stuart's surgery was just under $3000 ! So........he now has had ALL of his teeth removed & yes he looks a bit odd in the picture as his mouth is adjusting to the change. But overall he has recovered beautifully, He is eating well & that is a big part of the battle. We just love him so much, he is the sweetest guy & we couldn't stand the idea of him being in pain. We are so very grateful for the wonderful support for this fundraiser. To everyone who donated & bid, thank you soooooo much ! Special shout out to the good folks at
Natural Balance Day Spa- Barrie and
The Uptique Boutique, two long time supporters who always try to help us out with our auctions !!! We also want to mention the crafters & artistic donors who also have always been a big part of helping us raise money. Thank you everyone !!!
PS - Chistmas Auction will be coming up around mid November so stay tuned. See less

We want to introduce you all to our sweet boy "STUART." This handsome fella, who is around 7 or 8 years old, along with 2 of his friends were surrendered to us several months back. All were pretty out of sorts when they arrived & it took a fair bit of time for them to feel safe. (One of them, we still can't really touch but she is definitely coming around). But STUART has really come of his shell and he is just the sweetest guy. Anyway, he needs to have some very extensive dentistry. His teeth are pretty much completely rotten and we expect most have to be removed. Based on the condition of his mouth, he has been suffering a long time. He is getting some relief now as we have him on pain meds.
So, as you know we are currently running an Online Fundraising Auction. The money raised from this auction will hopefully pay for Stuart's dentistry or at least pay for some of it. So every time a bid comes in, we are one step closer. And he is one step closer to being completely pain free & two steps closer to moving forward to the next phase of his life. And hopefully that will eventually include a new home.
Please consider joining our online auction. It runs through Wednesday of this week & new items are being added daily.
Thank you everyone ! We appreciate your support so much ! https://www.facebook.com/groups/909694720006994/
