NEXT SATURDAY!! Our free market + craft night is running once again at our office in Barrie—with a loving reminder that this is open to EVERYBODY 💖 We initially created this space for folks to have a safe chill spot for people to connect with their creative side, so bring your friends or come alone for as long as you'd like ☺️ All donations made at the door (or by e-transfer of gofundme) go straight to our mutual aid fund; no one is turned away for lack of funds 💖
Our FREE MARKET has plenty of items that have been generously donated including books, housewares, electronics, accessories, and more! We are also accepting donations for additional items ☺️
We will have fall craft ideas at the ready, and you are welcome to join us and bring your own jars and sticks to make some spooky Halloween decor! You can bring your own craft or use our materials for any of the following:
• painting (canvases, jars)
• collaging
• beading
• zine making
• & so much more

We don't use AI in our marketing (and if you ever catch something that looks like genAI, please flag it for us so we can not use it in the future!) so here's our plead for life-saving items. Donations can be coordinated with our admin, Destiney, through any of the contact info on slide 3 🥰
Our community lets down street-based or precariously-housed people every. damn. year. Warming shelters are sparse or non-existent, and policing and jailing strategies have ramped up massively this year to criminalize survival even further.
Hoping to coordinate some pop-up shops over the next month with some amazing community organizers, but for now we need more of these items! Share around and hope to see you there 🫶

And just so we're clear, as therapists who support many teachers across Ontario, there are MANY loopholes that are leaving so many teachers without ANY funding for supplies—meaning that the cost for pencils and notebooks (at minimum) is coming from their own pockets. Ontario is in an increasing whirlwind of propaganda from the Ontario government that paints a very different picture around what's being done for housing, education, and public safety.
