For those running the Flying Acorn 10k and Half Marathon courses on the 18th, something special hits about 750m into the race. Those who ran our first event here last year know what we are talking about!

What looks runnable because it's not that long a stretch, quickly changes when one realizes it's just too steep to go full tilt the entire way up (for most mere mortals, that is!). Welcome to the notorious STEEPEST CLIMB with Gontree Tree Service. It's that special part of a race that turns into one of those talked about bits of a course, where the shared struggle between runners becomes something that bonds all those who tackle it. And for those running the Half Marathon, you get to enjoy it twice!

Special thanks to Gontree Tree Services for once again helping us highlight this special part of what makes this race...Flying Acorn! Our friends at Gontree Tree Services know trees. They love trees. They study trees. And they know exactly how to take care of them. To quote them, they GEEK OUT on TREES. If you need tree care of any sort, dial them up for amazing tree care service across Westman!

For those in our 10k and Half, add a few hill repeats to your pre-race training. Your legs will thank you when you hit the Steepest Climb with Gontree Tree Services!
