PRESS CONFERENCE UPDATE: Cassity Delvenne Arrest (June 12, 2026)
Today, September 11, 2026, Brandon Police Chief Tyler Bates delivered an official address regarding the June 12 arrest of Cassity Delvenne.
The Independent Investigation Unit (IIU) of Manitoba has formally determined that it will not undertake an investigation into the incident. According to the IIU, the matter does not meet its legal mandate, and it is not in the public interest for them to proceed with an investigation.
