Limited spots available! Meet in the parking lot at Waterworks Park on Grand River Avenue. There are washrooms at this location.
Expert birders, Ellen and Jerry Horak will lead everyone on a leisurely stroll through Waterworks park where a number of different habitats should net us some good local birds, migrating warblers and passerines. Ellen and Jerry, residents of Glen Morris, have been birding intensely since 2013, and have just completed 3 Big Years at the County, Provincial and Country level. They are members of OFO - Ontario Federation of Ornithologists, and have lead hikes for OFO, and the Point Pelee Birding Festival. All levels of birders are welcome including complete beginners. The trails will have some hills on asphalt, dirt, and some area quite narrow along the river. We will probably walking 6-8kms.

We regret to inform you that the Horticulture Workshop presenter has unexpectedly cancelled for this Sat. June 20, and we apologize if this has caused any inconvenience. In place of the workshop, we are going to run a 2-4km guided hike of the Pearson Property in Glen Morris. Jeff Leader has kindly volunteered to guide the hike where we will be visiting the Grand River, Carolinian Forest, and Prairie ecosystems. Jeff will also teach about the anthropogenic history of the area!
