As we head into the colder months, we wanted to give everyone a quick reminder about Osprey’s Frost Delay Procedure.

We know how much our golfers look forward to those early morning rounds, and we appreciate your patience when Mother Nature has other plans! 🥶⛳

When frost is present, we must wait until the course is clear and safe to play. If a frost delay extends beyond your scheduled tee time, that tee time will unfortunately be cancelled rather than moved to a later time.

For example, if you have a 9:30 a.m. tee time and the frost delay lasts until 10:30 a.m., all tee times between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. will be cancelled. We cannot simply move these groups forward, as this would create delays and impact golfers booked later in the day.

We understand this can be disappointing, especially when you’ve made plans around your round. Frost delays can be difficult to predict, but our team will do our best to provide updates as soon as possible.

If you’re booking an early tee time during frost season, please keep this procedure in mind when planning your round.

This year we removed as an experiment signs around the course to speed up maintenance. Attached picture shows the way of how not to park near greens and tees.
Please always park on the cart path with all four wheels off the grass. The picture shows what happened to grass this season and the wrong way to park.

Well the “Battle in Bridgewater” is in the books and we promised that Osprey Ridge was going to produce some fireworks! As the penultimate tour stop in our 2026 season, it was "moving day" after all! And who made the biggest move on Monday? Our Tournament Champion, Aaron Nickerson, that’s who! Carding a 2-under par round of 70 with challenging pin positions that had many befuddled all day, Aaron picked up 30 points in the Clubhouse Cup race and has now caught the attention of our front runners, setting the stage for an epic showdown at the season finale and Tour Championship at Northumberland Links on September 30th. Congratulations Aaron on your first NSSGT Tournament Champion title!

And Aaron wasn’t the only player to make a big move at Osprey. Every division saw tight races with guys leapfrogging in the points race. Stephen Forest and Steve Ward closed the gap in Division 1 picking up 20 points and 18 points respectively. In Division 2, Jeff Grant made the biggest move by taking over top spot at 48.5 points with the season’s steadiest D2 player, Todd Thomander, hot on his heels with 47.2 points. Chuck Ranni (55 points) and Troy White (50.5 points) are starting to separate themselves from the pack in Division 3 with Cliff Lowrey, Jeff Carr, and Darrell Kline still within striking distance. And in our Super Seniors 65+ Division Mike Henderson and Paddy Hynes made the biggest moves on Monday that will surely make for a photo finish in Northumberland! Gary Smith still holds the top spot at 48 points with Tommy Banks right behind him at 46. Mike Henderson’s play at Osprey saw him win the Super Seniors division and the 20 points to claim 3rd spot in the race (40 points) with Wayne Burke at 29 points and Paddy Hynes at 28 thanks to a solid move on Monday where Paddy grabbed 15 points to climb into contention for the final stretch run!

With sunny skies, comfortable temps, and a beautifully presented golf course it was an absolutely outstanding day! The food truck, Charred Smoke ‘n Spice was a hit afterwards and the icing on the cake!

Thanks to General Manager & Superintendent, Ed Zwicker and his entire team for being gracious hosts and for presenting their facility in spectacular fashion! Feedback from players was glowing with many suggesting that a return in the future would be welcomed.
