⭐ Every community has a Rising Star.

Do you know yours?

Nominations are now open for the 2026 SheIS Rising Star Award, celebrating young women aged 17–24 who are making a difference through sport in communities across Canada.

The SheIS Women in Sports Awards celebrate women across North America. As the inaugural Awards are being hosted in Canada, this year’s Rising Star Award recognises young women making an impact through sport in communities across the country.

You’ll also notice you can nominate women in our other award categories. While the SheIS Rising Star Award is the only category open for public consideration for the 2026 Awards, we welcome nominations in the remaining categories to help inform future SheIS Women in Sports Awards.

✨ Nominations close October 15.

Big conversations. Big opportunities. Big future ahead for women’s sports.

Our founder, Brenda Andress, joined Premier Doug Ford, the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Sport, and the Associate Minister of Women’s Social and Economic Opportunity to share the vision behind SheIS Sports and the future we’re building for women’s sports around the world.

SheIS Sports is being designed to make women’s sports more visible, connected, discoverable, and engaging through athlete storytelling, safe fan engagement, community, and real-time access to the sports and athletes fans love.

Grateful to be part of conversations that recognize the importance of innovation, visibility, and opportunity for women in sport.

✨ This day last week, we were celebrating something powerful.

The first-ever SheIS Gala brought together athletes, founders, leaders, allies, and advocates — all united in championing women and girls in sport. It wasn’t just an event. It was a fundraiser, a statement, and a spark.⚡️

On this Giving Tuesday, we’re reflecting on what made that night possible:

💪 The sponsors who believed in the vision
💪 The auction donors who gave generously
💪 The supporters who filled the room with purpose
💪 And the team behind the scenes who built something meaningful for women and girls in sport.

Your support fuels a nonprofit that works every day to drive visibility, opportunity, and progress for women and girls in sport. And thanks to this community, we’re thrilled to share what’s ahead:

• The SheIS Gala will return in 2026
• The SheIS Awards will launch next year, honouring the athletes and leaders accelerating change
• And there’s more coming in the months between — new initiatives, new tools, and new ways to strengthen the entire women’s sports ecosystem

We’ll be sharing more soon, but today is about gratitude — and about keeping the momentum alive!

If the shows us anything, it’s that when this community comes together, extraordinary things happen.

More visibility. More opportunity. More momentum. 💪

We’re grateful to stand with partners who believe in what this movement can be. 🙏

Here’s to a powerful night and the start of a new tradition!
