Rain or shine, our team showed up for ! With 14 riders, including 4 first-time participants, Team Keystone Environmental logged more than 443 km, ranking 5th for number of trips and 10th for kilometers travelled. Even our little Keystone kids joined the fun and helped pedal the team forward! Thanks to everyone who got involved and chose active transportation!

On September 30, we observe the , a day to reflect on the lasting impacts of residential schools and to honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors, and the families and communities who continue to be impacted.

At Keystone Environmental, we are dedicating time to learning and reflection through educational workshops, speaker sessions, and film screenings that deepen our understanding of this shared history and our role in advancing reconciliation.

September 30 is also , which recognizes the ongoing impacts of residential schools and reinforces the message that Every Child Matters. We encourage everyone to wear orange and participate in community events that support awareness, respect, and meaningful action toward reconciliation.

In recognition of ( ), we’re proud to support ’s Pathways to the Future – Industry Support for Indigenous Education in BC program by hosting a virtual screening of the films Fragile Flow and The Medzih Story: Restoring a Caribou Population.

These inspiring films showcase Indigenous leadership in ecological restoration and the deep connections between people, land, water, and wildlife.

Through stories of resilience, renewal, and connection, they invite us to reflect on reconciliation as an ongoing commitment to future generations.

In recognition of ( ) on September 30th, Keystone Environmental is supporting ’s and BC Environmental Film Festival’s double film exploring Indigenous-led stewardship, ecological restoration, and our responsibilities to the lands and waters that sustain us.

This week marks , and today we celebrate . It’s an opportunity to recognize the vital role forests and trees play in our environment and communities. Throughout the week, tree planting and stewardship initiatives are taking place across the country to help protect and restore these valuable natural resources.

A “willow reservoir” was built using a ditch, tarp, and clean water to store willow stakes that will later stabilize stream banks. With an assembly line in action, our team worked together to set the willow stakes in a pool to take root. Willows thrive in sunlight and water, making the reservoir the perfect place for them to grow strong before planting.

Toronto is on the agenda this week. On Thursday, September 24, Keystone Environmental will be at the hosted by Environment Journal, joining industry leaders to discuss excess soils management, regulatory developments affecting construction and remediation projects, and emerging best practices.

Important update: The Province has announced a pause to the planned expansion of the Provincial Sales Tax (PST) on professional services, which had been scheduled to take effect October 1, 2026.

The decision is intended to provide relief to businesses, employers, and local governments during ongoing economic uncertainty.
