According to locals this May was NOT typical. It was colder, rainier and way less sun than they usually experience. I think the highest temp it got to was 15C / 59F. We had lots of overcast days and when the wind came in it was chilly. In my books it was an actual spring. When that sun peaked out we made sure we were out soaking up as much of it as possible!

We checked out some amazing mountain views, travelled to Seward, worked on our yard, hung out with neighbours, attend a couple of events, explored the aviation museum, out of 3 kids started their youth golf league and we just enjoyed our time in our new home.

I feel like we are exactly where we are meant to be 🫶🏼

It was a busy month for our first month here in Anchorage, Alaska! We didn’t get out and explored as much as we would have liked, but there will be plenty of opportunities to do that especially with summer around the corner. We are enjoying being close to all of the amenities that the city holds, but we are happy to be in our forested community which makes you feel like you are not in the city at all.

The month was filled with house projects, homeschooling 3 boys, looking for a vehicle and then unpacking. It has been quite busy, and I most definitely burned out by the end 😅. Now we really get to settle in and make this place our home ❤️
