Raise your hand if your design to-do list has been staring back at you for months šš»āļø
You know the one...
The website page youāve been meaning to update.
The Canva templates you keep questioning and tweaking.
The new freebie idea thatās still sitting in your Notes app.
The mobile version of your website that definitely needs some love.
The handful of āquickā design tasks that somehow never actually feel quick.
Itās not because you donāt care or canāt make the changes yourself. Often, those projects get pushed aside for the things that feel more urgent, like serving clients, answering emails, or simply keeping your business running.
But before you know it, months have gone by, your list has only gotten longer, and those little tasks have quietly become one big mental load.
Thatās exactly why I created Design Day.
Not every biz owner needs a full rebrand or a brand new website. Sometimes you just need a dedicated designer in your corner to finally help you tackle the list thatās been following you around for months.
So, if youāre ready to cross those design tasks off your to-do list officially, reach out to me anytime and letās chat about whether Design Day is the right fit for you and your small biz š§”

PSA: Your favourite colour doesnāt automatically deserve a spot in your branding šØ
I know, I know. Thatās probably not what you expected to hear from a brand designer.
But one of the biggest misconceptions about branding is that it should be built entirely around your personal preferences.
The reality? Your brand isnāt meant to attract šŗš°š¶. Itās meant to attract the people you want to work with.
Which means every decision, from your colours to your fonts to your messaging, should be made with intention.
Swipe through to find out why orange became my brand colour despite not even being one of my favourites š
Brand cohesiveness isn't just a "nice to have." It's the whole point.
Whether you DIY'd your brand on Canva or worked with a designer, you have colours, fonts, and templates for a reason. Use them. Every time. On every post.
The second you start swapping things out for whatever's trending, you're not building a brand anymore. You're just making content.
Your audience recognizes you before they even read your caption. That's what consistency does. That's what cohesiveness builds.
So pull up your brand guidelines, use your templates, and stop changing things because you're bored or because butter yellow is having a moment.
Cohesiveness is the strategy š¤
And if you need help building a brand you actually love showing up for, you know where to find me.

OK, this oneās a little spicy š¶ļø
But hereās the thing⦠I just want to be upfront and honest about how I work and what I wonāt entertain when it comes to building brands and websites.
Not because Iām difficult. But because strong results require alignment from day one.
If youāre just looking for a pretty website that checks a box and ālooks nice,ā youāre probably better off staying in the DIY lane. No shade. Just honesty.
But if youāre ready for strategic direction from a designer who thinks like a business owner, especially if youāve been stuck trying to piece it all together on your own, thatās where I come in.
Because the right clients donāt hire me for decoration.
They hire me for positioning.
And thatās the piece that changes everything ā”

As a recovering people pleaser, it can be hard to say no š
Especially as a small biz owner. You want to be helpful, supportive, and accommodating. You want to say āyesā to opportunities, projects, and potential clients because, letās be honest, being trusted with someoneās business is a big deal.
But learning when to say no thank you and keep moving has been one of the most important lessons in my career.
Because saying yes to the wrong thing doesnāt just create misalignment for me, it creates frustration, confusion, and unmet expectations for the client on their side. And that helps no one.
The truth is⦠strong creative work comes from clarity. Knowing your lane. Understanding your strengths. And being honest about what will actually move the needle for someoneās business, even if that means pointing them elsewhere.
So, if youāre looking for a Creative Partner who values transparency over big promises, and direction over ādoing it all,ā thatās where I come in.
And if your website needs structure, strategy, and a design that finally feels like you, Iād love to chat!

Hereās the thing⦠more inquiries ā more bookings š
I see this misconception all the time. Business owners think that by hiding their pricing, it will force people to reach out and ask. The logic is that the more people who reach out, the more bookings or sales.
And while these price inquiries may end up in a transaction once in a while, it also creates a lot of opportunities for you to be entertaining the wrong clientele.
What if there was a way to know that almost every single one of the people who inquired was not only excited to work with you but ready to make the full monetary commitment for your service?
Surprise, surprise⦠itās by being transparent about your pricing on your website š¤
Once you add this small but important detail, you should find that your conversion rate between inquiries and bookings improves naturally.
Phew⦠Iām so glad I got that off my chest! Because seriously, from a designerās perspective, why šøš°š¶šš„šÆāšµ you want to have your pricing available for your clients?!
Do you agree with me? Iād be interested to hear your take in the comments š

Get yourself a Creative Partner who can translate your big ideas for your small biz into something tangible and usable š”ā
ā
Letās be honest, most small biz owners donāt struggle with ideas. Youāre already full of them. You know what you want to say, how you want your business to feel, and where youāre trying to take it. ā
ā
The hard part is turning all of that into something clear, cohesive, and actually effective without burning yourself out in the process š
ā
ā
Thatās usually where things start to feel messy. Too many tabs open. Too many half-started drafts. Too many āIāll come back to this laterā moments that never quite get finished. Not because youāre doing anything wrong, but because youāre trying to be both the visionary š¢šÆš„ the executor at the same time.ā
ā
The right Creative Partner helps bridge that gap. They take whatās in your head, organize it, refine it, and turn it into something your audience can understand and connect with. Something that supports your growth instead of becoming another thing on your to-do list.ā
ā
Whenever youāre ready to stop sitting on great ideas and start seeing them come to life, thatās exactly the kind of thing I help with š«¶š»ā ā ā ā
