Community Connect YYC
Finding the right support in times of need can be challenging, but Community Connect YYC is changing that.
A collaborative of Calgary-based agencies dedicated to supporting Calgarians to access affordable counselling when they need it most, and in the simplest way possible. We are a group of Calgary-based agencies dedicated to helping community members to quickly and easily access social support services when they need it most. Through our direct online booking tool, available 24/7, our partners are putting access to their services in the community’s hands. Clients can book in with one of our agencies to access the support they need. With many virtual and phone appointments to choose from, they can get help soon and when it fits their schedule. Our service connects the community to a range of supports, including several types of counselling, and even basic needs help, often within the week.
We sat down with YWCA Calgary to learn more about their Safe Futures for Families program and the important work they’re doing in our community.
Safe Futures for Families helps people recognize patterns of abusive behaviour and better understand the stages they may experience when navigating it. When life gets busy, it can be difficult to recognize these patterns or understand how they may be affecting us.
The program focuses on grounding ourselves, understanding our emotions, reconnecting with our values, and finding ways to live those values every day. These tools can help us build healthier, more fulfilling lives and move toward positive change.
We’re proud to partner with YWCA Calgary and help shine a light on this incredible program.

At Community Connect YYC, we believe support should be available when you need it, not just during office hours.
That’s why our website is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, making it easy to find the support you need and book an appointment online, whenever it works for you.
And our numbers show just how important that flexibility is. 29% of our bookings happen outside regular work hours, between 6 PM and 8 AM.
Whenever you’re ready, we’re here to help.

We sat down with Canadian Centre for Men and Families - Alberta to chat about their Individual Counselling for Men program.
This program recognizes that men often heal in different ways. Built on a strengths-based approach, it supports men in managing complex emotions like anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-esteem challenges, and everyday stress. By putting men's needs at the forefront, it promotes emotional well-being, resilience, and personal growth.
We're proud to partner with CCMF Alberta and highlight the incredible work they do in our community.

We’re proud to announce our final speaker, Tanis Moore from Canadian Centre for Men and Families - Alberta
Tanis will be speaking about how lifelong societal pressures can impact men’s mental health in their senior years. Her presentation will encourage meaningful conversations around aging, identity, and emotional wellness later in life.
Our speakers were thoughtfully selected to highlight different experiences and stages across the lifespan, and we’re excited to bring these important conversations to the community.
