Joanne is our Administrative Assistant - Community Service Intake Coordinator at Foothills Academy Society. In this role, she handles intakes for our Community Services programs, including Psychological Services & Programs, Read/Write & Math Intervention, and Amicus Camps & Recreation.

Helping Kids Get it Together: Understanding Executive Function from Childhood to the Teen Years is an engaging workshop for parents, caregivers, educators, and professionals working with youth.

In this session, you will gain insights into:
-Understanding key executive functioning skills, including planning, organization, time management, and working memory
-Implementing practical, everyday strategies to support executive function at home, at school, and beyond
-Navigating increasing demands as children grow into tweens and teens
-Ideas and strategies to move from constant reminders and frustration toward greater confidence and independence.

Foothills Academy Society’s psycho-educational assessments evaluate children (6+), teens, and adults underlying learning processes like executive functioning, memory, and processing speed, alongside academic skills and emotional well-being.

By evaluating academic skills, learning processes, and social-emotional functioning, our team of Registered Psychologists pinpoint key strengths, areas for growth, and practical strategies for home, school, or work. Typical assessments include an intake session, 2-3 testing sessions, and a debrief session to share findings.
